Georgia is distinguished by its unique nature. Georgia boasts its Mountains, lakes, rivers and a sea, forests and resort towns, all found in a single country. Its beautiful nature becomes even more impressive during the wintertime. Georgian photographer Giorgi Shermazanashvili has been taking photos of snowy Georgia for years. Svaneti is breathtaking in every season of the year. Svaneti is a historic province in the northwestern part of Georgia. It is surrounded by the Caucasus Mountains. The highest mountain in Georgia, Mount Shkhara (5,201 meters) is located in the province. Svaneti has a unique nature and architectural monuments.

Georgia’s beautiful seaside town, Batumi is located in the southwestern part of the country. Batumi’s renovated architecture, nightlife, and a huge number of dining options attract many local and international travelers in summer.
Tbilisi is the capital of Georgia. According to a legend, King Vakhtang Gorgasali was hunting in the woods on the banks of the Kura River and wounded a pheasant. The bird ran to the sulfur springs that healed it immediately. The King was amazed by the healing features of the spring and decided to build a city around it. Tbilisi is a mixture of cultures, models of architecture, different religious and ethnic groups.
Gudauri is the best ski resort in Georgia with well-developed infrastructure. It is located at an elevation of 2,200 meters (7,200 ft.) above sea level. Even though Gudauri is considered to be a winter resort, it is attractive for tourists in summer as well. Backpacking trips are one of the most attractive activities there for visitors.
