Nino Chakvetadze, georgian a painter and illustrator

Nino Chakvetadze is a painter and illustrator born in 1971 in Tbilisi. She studied at the Iakob Nikoladze Art School, and at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts in the Department of Painting. She’s also a delightful children’s book illustrator and has participated in various exhibitions. She opened her own gallery in Tbilisi six years ago. Her drawings reflect children, angels, grandparents, Christmas, love, friendship, human relations, and peace. The painter is inspired by the ordinary moments of a human life. Nino’s parent always encouraged her to paint. She has never quit painting since she first took a brush in her childhood. As exhibitions take place only once or twice a year, Nino changed one of her houses into a gallery in order to let visitors observe her paintings all year round. A lot of foreigners send her very positive messages about the artworks via the internet. The painter prefers to work at home. The visitors of her gallery will be able to observe new paintings every season as Nino plans to make a series of works reflecting each season of the year.

Since 1997she is a member of Georgian Painters’ Union. Also works as Children’s Books’ illustrator.
