Elton John performing live in Georgia

Multiple Grammy-winning British singer and songwriter Sir Elton John will perform live at Georgia’s Black Sea Arena in Shekvetili today and tomorrow at 8 pm. This will be the only performance in Europe of the highly acclaimed solo artist for this year before his final tour – Farewell Yellow Brick Road –  kicks off in the US on September 8, 2018 consisting of more than 300 shows and reaching its conclusion in 2021. Elton John has achieved 38 gold and 31 platinum and multi-platinum albums during his half a century career selling more than 300 million records worldwide.   Since launching his first tour in 1970, Elton John, 71, has had over 4,000 performances in more than 80 countries to his credit.

Being the third most successful artist in the history of the American charts, behind only Elvis Presley and The Beatles, Elton John was expected to come to Georgia in September last year, but concerts were cancelled due to the health conditions of one of his band members. The organiser of Elton John’s concerts in Georgia, Bank of Georgia’s SOLO, then negotiated to postpone the performances for July of this year.  Consequently, anyone who purchased tickets previously can attend the concerts today and tomorrow.
